Scandic Hotels Group will open its third hotel in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2027. The company has signed a long-term lease agreement for the centrally located property.

Scandic Hotels Group has signed a long-term lease agreement with Union Investment to open a third hotel in Frankfurt, Germany. The hotel, located centrally near the Messe Frankfurt trade fair venue, is scheduled to reopen in 2027 following a comprehensive refurbishment.
The new hotel aims to cater to international and domestic business travelers, as well as leisure guests visiting the city for events and culture. Its location next to one of Europe's largest exhibition centers is considered a key strategic advantage.
The property will undergo significant upgrades to align with Scandic's brand and operational standards. This includes modernizing rooms, enhancing design with sustainable materials, and improving the overall guest experience. The hotel will feature 296 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, an outdoor terrace, and meeting facilities totaling 500 square meters.
This expansion marks another step in Scandic's growth strategy in Germany, reinforcing its presence in key markets. The new hotel will complement Scandic's existing Frankfurt properties, Scandic Museumsufer and Scandic Hafenpark, forming a network across the city's main business and visitor areas. The hotel is expected to achieve Nordic Swan Ecolabel certification.
