Scandic to Train 500 Meeting Advisors with Hyper Island
Scandic Hotels Group is set to train approximately 500 meeting advisors in 2017 through a partnership with Hyper Island. The initiative aims to enhance meeting offerings across the Nordics and Europe.
Scandic Hotels Group announced in February 2017 a significant investment in its meeting services across the Nordic region and Europe. The company will train close to 500 meeting advisors in cooperation with the global creative business school Hyper Island during 2017.
This initiative responds to increasing demands from corporate clients for customized solutions, personal guidance, and more inspiring meeting environments. In addition to existing meeting hosts, 60 employees in the Nordic region will undergo specialized training to become certified meeting advisors.
The goal is to ensure each hotel has at least two expert advisors capable of planning and executing effective and creative meetings. Hyper Island's expertise in digital solutions and innovative learning methods will support this objective.
Scandic's new meeting concept also features an updated food offering catering to allergies and preferences, alongside optional technical services like live streaming and gamification. The concept is currently being piloted at six select hotels.
