Scania delivers first hybrid truck to FMV

Scania has commenced the delivery of hybrid trucks to the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) as part of a collaborative development project. A total of three vehicles will be supplied for evaluation by the Swedish Armed Forces, aiming to explore the application of hybrid technology for specific military requirements.

The project seeks to gather data and insights regarding the performance, operational reliability, and environmental impact of hybrid vehicles in demanding defense environments. The findings are expected to inform Scania's future development of vehicles tailored for the defense sector.

Concurrently, Scania recently introduced a new protected cabin for the defense industry at the Eurosatory 2026 exhibition. This modular cabin is engineered to provide enhanced safety and robustness for critical defense logistics operations.

The delivery of the hybrid trucks and the launch of the new cabin underscore Scania's strategic focus on developing customized and sustainable transport solutions for both civilian and defense applications.
