Scania introduces K500C B4X2NB bus chassis
Scania has launched the K500C B4X2NB, a 500 hp chassis designed for long-distance and tourism coach applications.

Scania has unveiled the K500C B4X2NB, a new bus chassis platform powered by the 13-liter DC13 165 Euro 6 engine. The powertrain is engineered to produce 500 horsepower and a peak torque of 2,550 Nm, providing consistent performance for long-haul operations.
The vehicle utilizes a 12-speed GRS0895R transmission integrated with Scania’s updated Opticruise software, which offers economy, standard, and power modes to optimize fuel efficiency and gear shifting. Braking performance is supported by an R3500 retarder, available in both manual and automatic modes.
Built on a chassis with an 8,000 kg front axle capacity and a 13,000 kg rear drive axle, the unit features full air suspension. To enhance safety, Scania has included an Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system and a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
The electrical infrastructure features a 24V Multiplex system and a rear-mounted 230 Ah battery pack. This launch targets operators requiring high-capacity, efficient transit solutions for the tourism and intercity transport sectors.
