Scania Launches New Business Platform in China
Heavy vehicle manufacturer Scania has launched Venture & New Business China (VNBC) to identify, develop, and pilot new business opportunities and future transport solutions in the Chinese market.

Scania has established Venture & New Business China (VNBC), a dedicated platform for identifying, developing, and piloting new business opportunities within the Chinese market. The initiative aims to foster strategic partnerships, customer collaborations, and new ventures to accelerate future transport solutions.
Kelly Fu has been appointed Regional Lead for China Venture & New Business. VNBC is part of Scania's long-term development in China, designed to support current growth while building capabilities for an increasingly electrified and autonomous transport ecosystem. The platform will focus initially on areas with strong potential to transform heavy transport, including energy transition and autonomous transport. By working with partners, Scania intends to rapidly test technologies and business models, gather insights, and develop knowledge to shape future transport solutions.
This initiative leverages Scania's expanding presence and local resources in China, including its research, development, procurement, and production capabilities. The Nantong and Rugao region, housing Scania's third industrial production hub, will serve as a key environment for testing and piloting new solutions with customers and partners.
Scania also plans to collaborate with local governments and ecosystem partners across China to explore further opportunities. The company aims to combine local market understanding with its global expertise to drive innovation and commercialize new transport concepts effectively.
