Scania to launch new battery-electric CrewCab at Interschutz

Scania is set to launch its new battery-electric CrewCab at the Interschutz trade fair in Hannover, taking place from June 1st to 6th. This debut marks the first time Scania has equipped a CrewCab model with electric batteries. The vehicle targets fire, airport, and civil rescue applications.

The company's exhibition will also include an all-electric P-cab truck. Additionally, Scania is introducing its new Scania Super 11 engine, part of its most efficient combustion powertrain platform, for the CP28 and CP31 cabs. This new engine aims to deliver up to 10 percent in fuel efficiency savings.

A turntable ladder truck, built on a Scania chassis with a nine-litre engine and featuring a body by Rosenbauer, will also be on display. Scania emphasizes that its offerings are designed for safety, reliability, and reduced emissions.

Beyond trucks, Scania will present a comprehensive range of Power Solutions, including its V8 engine and electric and hybrid power options. The E-Machine is available for hybrid or fully electric applications, with Scania providing complete battery solutions. The company aims to support customers transitioning to more sustainable operations without compromising performance.

Scania representatives will be available at the stand to discuss vehicle and power solutions, as well as charging infrastructure. The exhibition will also feature an area dedicated to Scania's history and digital training content.
