Schaeffler to unify aftermarket brands under single identity

Schaeffler is initiating a significant global brand overhaul for its automotive aftermarket division, with plans to consolidate its established FAG, INA, and LuK product brands under a unified Schaeffler identity. This phased transition is set to commence in the second quarter of 2027.

The initial phase will see the FAG product portfolio adopt redesigned packaging that prominently features the Schaeffler corporate brand. The existing FAG, INA, and LuK brand names will be retained as supporting identifiers to ensure continuity and customer recognition during the transition.

According to Schaeffler, the move addresses the increasing complexity of the automotive aftermarket, where workshops and distributors are increasingly seeking integrated repair solutions, comprehensive services, and digital tools, rather than standalone components.

The company has stated that product quality, technical specifications, part numbers, and existing commercial agreements will remain unchanged throughout the rebranding process. This strategy aims to simplify customer access to Schaeffler's full range of products and services, positioning the company as a singular technology partner.

The new packaging concept was first showcased at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026. The FAG portfolio will lead the global rollout in Q2 2027, with INA and LuK packaging remaining unchanged for that year as the broader program progresses in stages.
