Schlager artists' superstitious rituals before performances revealed

Many prominent Schlager artists adhere to specific rituals before their significant performances, revealing unique habits and beliefs held behind the scenes.

Andrea Berg, a veteran in the music industry since 1992, shares a ritual of taking a herbal liqueur shot with her entire band before each show. This communal moment holds importance for her, especially after she sustained a severe burn injury when she abstained from this tradition in 2016. Since then, the shared drink has become an indispensable part of her performances.

Helene Fischer prioritizes sleep and employs a distinct ritual to ensure complete darkness in her sleeping quarters. Her practice involves closing all doors and drawers, whether she is at home or in a hotel room, to achieve the necessary conditions for sleep.

Stefan Mross, the long-standing host of "Immer wieder sonntags," identifies as somewhat superstitious. He pays attention to starting his day with the correct foot and has developed a curious method for handling his cue cards: he kisses them before bed and places them under his pillow, believing it ensures a successful show.

These individual and sometimes peculiar rituals highlight the artists' ways of managing uncertainty and finding comfort before facing an audience, reflecting their personalities and the ingrained habits developed throughout their careers.
