Schlager Stars' Rituals: From Jägermeister to Under the Pillow
Schlager artists like Andrea Berg, Helene Fischer, and Stefan Mross reveal their personal rituals performed before shows, ranging from herbal liqueurs to completely dark bedrooms.

According to an article published by German media outlet PRISMA-Verlag, prominent schlager artists such as Andrea Berg, Helene Fischer, and Stefan Mross employ unique rituals before their performances.
Andrea Berg considers a small Jägermeister shot with her entire team before a show a tradition that fosters team spirit. In 2016, she deviated from this ritual at a colleague's request, resulting in severe burns due to a technical malfunction during a performance involving fire effects. Since that incident, the ritual has been considered indispensable for her.
Helene Fischer insists on complete darkness and enclosure before sleeping. She ensures all doors, windows, closet doors, and drawers are shut. This condition is necessary for her to achieve sleep, whether at home or in a hotel.
Stefan Mross, a long-time host of "Immer wieder sonntags," admits to being somewhat superstitious. He pays attention to waking up with the correct foot. A peculiar ritual involves his cue cards, which he kisses before bed and places under his pillow. On at least one occasion, he retrieved forgotten cards from his car in the middle of the night to maintain the ritual.
