Schurter Group Reports Significant Profit Increase for 2021
Swiss electronics company Schurter Group announced a strong 2021 with a 14.2% increase in revenue to CHF 296.1 million. The company also reported a significant rise in profit after taxes.

Schurter Group, a Swiss manufacturer of electronic components, reported a record year in 2021, with revenue growing by 14.2% to CHF 296.1 million from CHF 259.3 million in the previous year.
The company experienced substantial growth across various regions, including strong performance in Asia-Pacific (+19.0%) and America (+36.8%). The Components business unit saw a significant increase of 21.8% to CHF 207.2 million, while Input Systems experienced a slight decline.
Profit after taxes more than doubled to CHF 22.3 million, compared to CHF 9.4 million in 2020. The order backlog also surged by 148.8% to CHF 58.9 million, indicating high demand but also leading to production capacity challenges.
Schurter Group continued its strategic investments in expanding facilities in Switzerland, Hungary, India, and China. The workforce grew by 9.4% to 2,237 employees by the end of 2021.
Looking ahead to 2022, Schurter Group anticipates continued high order volumes but acknowledges ongoing challenges with material availability and production capacity. The company remains confident about its prospects.
