SCHURTER Holding AG has appointed Tom Russi and Andri Flückiger as new members to its Board of Directors, effective May 1, 2022. They replace Bruno Schurter, who departs in accordance with company statutes.

SCHURTER Holding AG announced on May 1, 2022, the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors: Tom Russi and Andri Flückiger. They replace Bruno Schurter, a grandson of the company founder Heinrich Schurter, who stepped down as per the company's statutes requiring board members to retire after age 70.
Bruno Schurter had a long tenure with the company, including establishing SCHURTER Inc. in California from its inception. He is returning to Switzerland to focus on a foundation he established to benefit SCHURTER employees.
The company emphasized continuity, with the chairmanship of the Board of Directors remaining with a family member, Thomas Schurter. Hans-Rudolf Schurter also previously stepped down due to the age restriction.
Tom Russi, 60, is an electrical engineer and serves on the management board of Innosuisse, the Swiss Agency for Innovation Promotion. Andri Flückiger, 36, is the first fourth-generation member elected to the board. He holds a management position in customer service at Baloise and is the life partner of Fabienne Schurter.
The SCHURTER Group operates 20 companies in 17 countries, with 14 housing production facilities. It employs approximately 2,000 people worldwide and is managed from hubs in Lucerne (Europe), Santa Rosa (Americas), and Singapore (Asia).
