SCHURTER Releases High-Performance Fuse for Electric Vehicles
SCHURTER AG has introduced its ALO series of fuses, specifically developed for electric vehicle high-voltage applications, supporting up to 1000 VDC and 900 amperes.
Swiss component manufacturer SCHURTER AG has unveiled its new ALO series of fuses, engineered to meet the demands of high-voltage applications in electric vehicles (EVs). The product line supports voltages up to 1000 VDC and currents up to 900 amperes, featuring a breaking capacity of up to 50 kA.
The fuses are designed to operate across a wide temperature range of -40 to +125 °C. Customers can select between ceramic or resin housing materials and choose between axial or bottom bolt-on mounting options, offering significant design flexibility. SCHURTER states that its proprietary filling and curing technology is employed to enhance safety by preventing explosions and reducing fire hazards.
Applications for the SCHURTER ALO series include power distribution units (PDUs), battery disconnect units, manual service disconnectors, and battery management systems. The products comply with several international standards, such as JASO D622, ISO 8820-8, GB/T 31465.6, and UL 248-20. Models ALO11, ALO12, and ALO14 have already achieved UL certification.
