Schwan Cosmetics to open research hub in Seoul by 2027
Cosmetics manufacturer Schwan Cosmetics plans to launch a North Asia innovation center in South Korea in January 2027 to accelerate product development.

German cosmetics manufacturer Schwan Cosmetics has announced plans to open a dedicated research and development facility in Seoul, South Korea, in January 2027. The facility, designated as the North Asia Innovation Hub, is intended to integrate Korean expertise in skincare ingredients and longevity trends into the company's color cosmetics production.
By establishing a presence in Seoul, Schwan Cosmetics aims to shorten its product development cycles. The move allows the company, which acts as a contract manufacturer for international beauty brands, to leverage local market insights directly for its global clients.
This investment aligns with the company's strategy to strengthen its footprint in the Asian market, where rapid innovation in beauty products is a defining characteristic of the industry. The center will focus on translating emerging skincare advancements into mass-market cosmetic applications.
Ahead of the Seoul opening, the company is scheduled to exhibit at the Cosmopack Asia event in Hong Kong from November 10 to 12, 2026.
