Scientific Games Receives Communitas Award for Corporate Social Responsibility

Scientific Games has been awarded the Communitas Award 2026 for excellence in corporate responsibility. The global lottery company received the international recognition in the Ethical and Environmental Responsibility category for its unique wood pallet recycling project.

The initiative, conducted in collaboration with the v. Bodelschwingh Bethel Foundations, one of Germany's largest social service organizations, aims to give a second life to wooden pallets while creating significant employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Unused pallets from lottery ticket transportation were transformed into birdhouses and toys by individuals with disabilities at Bethel's Kracks workshop.

"It is an honor to receive the Communitas Award for this project, which is a great example of our global efforts to invest in locally led initiatives that generate measurable environmental and social impact," said Andrew Jackson, Senior Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at Scientific Games.

The repurposed items are sold at the Bethel store, generating revenue to support the organization's programs and operations. This partnership not only reduces landfill waste but also helps Bethel expand its carpentry capabilities. Scientific Games previously received two Communitas Awards in 2025 for other corporate responsibility initiatives.
