Südwest Media Network Formed to Market Regional Newspapers
Stuttgarter Zeitung Werbevermarktung GmbH is rebranding as Südwest Media Network GmbH from April 1. The new entity aims to unify advertising and reader markets to strengthen its position in Southern Germany.

Stuttgarter Zeitung Werbevermarktung GmbH will be renamed Südwest Media Network GmbH (swm.n) effective April 1. The company's rebranding aims to consolidate advertising and reader markets under a single umbrella, positioning it as a significant player in the regional media marketing landscape.
Medienholding Süd, publisher of Stuttgarter Zeitung, Stuttgarter Nachrichten, and Eßlinger Zeitung, announced the strategic shift. Südwest Media Network is set to become one of the largest regional marketers in the southern German area. The network includes 28 daily newspapers in the Stuttgart metropolitan region and collaborates with "Schwarzwälder Bote," the Zeitungsgruppe Hof-Coburg-Suhl-Bayreuth (HCSB), and publishers from the Rhein-Neckar and Ulm newspaper markets. Collectively, these publications represent a substantial advertising reach with a circulation of 628,503 copies (IVW 2/21).
The Südwest Media Network will offer clients a more focused service portfolio that extends beyond media strategy and planning. Services will encompass content creation in text, audio, and video formats, as well as event management. This expansion addresses the increasing complexity of communication and the need for specialized expertise.
Beyond advertising sales, Südwest Media Network will also manage subscription development for its print publications and drive digital readership growth for eleven regional daily newspapers in Baden-Württemberg. This initiative underscores a commitment to adapting and thriving within the evolving media environment.
