Sea to Adopt Nvidia's Vera Rubin Platform as First in Southeast Asia
Singapore-based Sea Limited announced on September 23 it will become the first company in Southeast Asia to adopt Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform. The move aims to enhance its AI infrastructure and computing capacity across its Garena, Shopee, and Monee businesses.
Sea Limited, a Singapore-based consumer internet group, announced on September 23 its intention to become the first company in Southeast Asia to implement Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform. This strategic adoption is set to bolster the company's artificial intelligence infrastructure and increase computing power for its core businesses: Garena, Shopee, and Monee.
The company highlighted the potential benefits of the platform. Teams within Garena, Sea's digital entertainment arm, have reportedly developed over 1,300 AI chatbots, workflows, and agents. For its e-commerce platform Shopee, AI-generated content tools contributed to a 14% year-on-year improvement in purchase conversion rates during the first quarter.
Monee, Sea's digital finance business previously known as SeaMoney, has also seen operational improvements attributed to the platform. Recent updates to its credit-risk models have led to approximately a 10% increase in approval rates while maintaining current risk levels.
By integrating Nvidia's Vera Rubin, Sea aims to leverage advanced AI capabilities to drive efficiency and innovation across its diverse digital offerings, catering to the rapidly growing digital economy in the Southeast Asian region.
