Seabourn to Staff Antarctica Expeditions with Experts for 2026-2027 Season

Seattle, Sept. 30, 2026 – Cruise line Seabourn has announced its lineup of experts for the 2026-2027 Antarctica season. Voyages aboard the Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit will feature a dedicated expedition team comprising scientists, researchers, historians, and seasoned professionals. These individuals have dedicated their careers to understanding some of the world's most remote environments, offering guests the chance to explore the White Continent alongside them.

Each voyage will be supported by a 21-member expedition team specializing in fields such as polar science, wildlife, conservation, geology, and history. The team members bring extensive experience from Antarctica and beyond, providing passengers with in-depth insights into the region's landscapes, ecosystems, and history through lectures and guided excursions.

The experts' backgrounds include affiliations with leading research and conservation organizations. Several have worked directly on Antarctic research vessels, supported marine mammal studies, and participated in oceanographic educational programs globally. They have been selected for their deep subject matter expertise, expedition experience, and ability to engage and inspire guests.

Seabourn emphasizes that the experts aim to help passengers move beyond simply seeing Antarctica to truly understanding it. This is facilitated through shore landings, Zodiac cruises, wildlife encounters, daily briefings, and educational lectures. The team members will also share their knowledge through Seabourn's "Seabourn Conversations" enrichment program.

For the 2026-2027 season, Seabourn will offer 19 Antarctica departures between November 2026 and March 2027, with voyage lengths ranging from 10 to 20 days.
