SEB Report Analyzes EU Carbon Policy Impact on Construction and Industry

SEB's latest Sustainable Finance Outlook report analyzes the European Commission's proposed reform of the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS). The analysis suggests that higher carbon prices could squeeze margins within the construction sector.

Conversely, the report indicates that increased carbon costs may encourage investments in low-carbon steel and cement production. It also highlights that the extreme drought experienced this summer reinforces the case for greater investment in renewable energy.
