SEBI Approves IPOs for Rediff and PlaySimple
India's Securities and Exchange Board (SEBI) has granted approval for the initial public offerings (IPOs) of internet company Rediff and mobile game developer PlaySimple.

India's securities regulator, SEBI, has given the green light to the initial public offerings (IPOs) of Rediff.com India Limited and Playsimple Games Limited. The regulator issued observation letters for both companies, signaling their readiness to proceed with public listings.
Rediff, an internet company founded in 1995 and now a subsidiary of AvenuesAI, operates services including Rediffmail, RediffPay, and RediffOne. The company had confidentially filed for an IPO estimated between ₹600-₹800 crore.
PlaySimple, a mobile game developer and a wholly owned subsidiary of Swedish company MTG, also received SEBI's approval. Its IPO is expected to be an offer for sale (OFS) by its parent company, potentially raising up to ₹3,150 crore. Founded in 2014, PlaySimple boasts a large user base and numerous game downloads.
These approvals add to a growing IPO pipeline in India, with other companies like Zetwerk and Tonbo Imaging also recently receiving SEBI's clearance. Meanwhile, some firms, such as Zepto, have reportedly paused their IPO plans to focus on pre-IPO fundraising.
