Sectra Achieves Highest Security Attestation for German Healthcare Cloud Services
Sectra has attained a C5 Type 2 attestation for its cloud-based enterprise imaging Software-as-a-Service in Germany. This, building on a previous Type 1 attestation, signifies sustained operational security for healthcare providers.

Linköping, Sweden – July 13, 2026 – International medical imaging IT and cybersecurity company Sectra has announced it has achieved a Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue (C5) Type 2 attestation for its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for enterprise imaging, Sectra One Cloud. This latest attestation enhances the security assurance for healthcare providers in Germany looking to adopt cloud services.
The C5 attestation is developed by Germany's Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and is a recognized standard for cloud service security. Achieving Type 2 status confirms that Sectra's security controls have been operating effectively over an extended period, a step up from the previous Type 1 attestation received last year.
This heightened level of security validation is crucial for the German healthcare sector, which handles highly sensitive patient data. It aims to provide healthcare providers with increased confidence in migrating their critical IT infrastructure to Sectra's cloud platform.
"The security of cloud-based solutions is paramount in healthcare," stated CEO Torbjörn Ek. "With this attestation, Sectra ensures that its customers have the highest possible assurance regarding the security of their data within Sectra One Cloud."
The company's commitment to robust security standards is highlighted by this achievement, positioning Sectra One Cloud as a trustworthy option for German healthcare organizations seeking secure and compliant cloud solutions.
