secunet acquires cloud specialist SysEleven
Cybersecurity firm secunet Security Networks AG is acquiring 100 percent of cloud infrastructure specialist SysEleven GmbH. The acquisition will expand secunet's cloud service offerings.
German cybersecurity company secunet Security Networks AG has signed an agreement to acquire all shares of SysEleven GmbH. The transaction is expected to strengthen secunet's offerings in cloud-based solutions and cloud security.
SysEleven is a German provider of cloud infrastructure and services, focusing on open-source solutions such as Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Managed Kubernetes. The company operates ISO27001-certified data centers in Germany and offers the MetaKube platform for managing Kubernetes environments.
secunet CEO Axel Deininger stated that the acquisition accelerates secunet's growth in the secure cloud infrastructure market and brings a team of experts into the company. According to Deininger, the company can now offer both on-premise and as-a-service cloud solutions.
SysEleven, founded in 2007, employs over 100 people and serves more than 175 clients in the DACH region. The company will continue to operate under secunet's ownership, led by its current managing directors. The purchase price is approximately 50 million euros, with a potential earn-out of up to 15 million euros extending until 2024.
