Secunet and AKQUINET partner to provide managed IT services for healthcare
Secunet and AKQUINET have entered a collaboration to provide managed IT services to the German healthcare sector, leveraging the secunet medical connect gateway platform.
Cybersecurity firm secunet Security Networks AG and IT service provider AKQUINET have announced a partnership to integrate their technologies for the German healthcare market. The initiative centers on the use of secunet’s medical connect edge gateway to facilitate secure data processing and access to telematic infrastructure services.
The collaboration addresses the industry shift from on-premise IT infrastructure toward cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) models. By combining AKQUINET’s data center services with secunet’s platform, the companies aim to offer healthcare providers a standardized method for managing decentralized networks and medical applications while maintaining data protection compliance.
Torsten Redlich, Global Head of Medical Security at secunet, noted that the platform is designed to provide IT service providers with a secure foundation for running various healthcare applications. This integration is expected to improve efficiency in remote support and data handling for clinics and healthcare institutions across Germany.
