secunet and Cloud&Heat dissolve joint subsidiary secustack
Cybersecurity firm secunet and cloud provider Cloud&Heat have mutually agreed to dissolve their joint subsidiary, secustack, while intensifying their direct partnership.
secunet Security Networks AG, a cybersecurity company, and Cloud&Heat Technologies, a cloud service provider, have mutually dissolved their joint subsidiary, secustack GmbH, at the end of 2023. The companies have simultaneously announced plans to strengthen their direct cooperation.
Following the dissolution, secustack's activities will be integrated into secunet's SINA Cloud product. To facilitate this transition, the two companies have entered into a strategic partnership agreement. They will also continue their involvement in the ALASCA e.V. association, which supports the development of open cloud infrastructures and the Yaook project.
The SecuStack technology stack was transferred to SINA Cloud on January 1, 2024. Its further development will be handled by secunet's subsidiary, SysEleven. Contractual maintenance for existing SecuStack customers remains guaranteed.
Founded in March 2019, secustack aimed to provide a security-hardened cloud operating system, enabling organizations with sensitive applications to adopt cloud solutions. The technology featured end-to-end encryption, key management, and user-controlled access to data.
