Secunet and Cloud&Heat Form Joint Venture to Secure Cloud Infrastructure
Secunet Security Networks and Cloud&Heat Technologies have established SecuStack, a venture focused on providing security-hardened cloud platforms for public authorities and critical industries.
Secunet Security Networks AG and Cloud&Heat Technologies GmbH have launched a joint venture, SecuStack GmbH, based in Dresden. The new entity aims to provide a cloud platform specifically designed for organizations with elevated security requirements, bridging the gap between open-source flexibility and the protection of sensitive data.
The solution builds upon the OpenStack framework by integrating proprietary encryption mechanisms that ensure strict client separation. This approach allows users in sectors such as healthcare, energy, and government to process critical information in the cloud without compromising data accessibility or privacy.
Secunet holds a 51% stake in the venture, with Cloud&Heat holding the remaining 49%. Both parent companies contribute specialized expertise: Secunet in cryptography and system security, and Cloud&Heat in OpenStack infrastructure management. The core functionality is currently available for customer testing, with further expansion planned for the coming months.
