secunet and Worldline to develop TI Gateway
secunet and Worldline are developing a TI Gateway (TIG), scheduled for launch in Q3 2024. This solution will enable secure access to Germany's telematics infrastructure without requiring a dedicated connector.
secunet Security Networks AG and Worldline have announced the development of a new TI Gateway (TIG), which will provide secure access to Germany's telematics infrastructure without the need for a separate connector. The new solution is expected to be available from the third quarter of 2024.
The TI Gateway is designed to offer a centralized, service-based access for healthcare professionals and other service providers. It is built upon secunet's approved high-speed connector and Worldline's extensive experience in operating certified connectivity platforms. The goal is to simplify the use of digital services and reduce the burden of hardware management for service providers.
Service providers, including practices, pharmacies, and mobile service providers such as physiotherapists and care services, will be able to benefit from the TI Gateway. It replaces individual connectors by offering access to the TI network "as-a-service." The solution supports all TI applications, such as CardLink, TI Messenger, and Communication in Medicine (KIM).
Both secunet and Worldline are market leaders in their respective fields within the German healthcare sector. The partnership combines secunet's expertise in cybersecurity with Worldline's experience in payment solutions and connectivity platforms. secunet received approval for its high-speed connector in December 2023, being the first provider on the market to do so.
