Secunet konnektor approved for data centers, telemedicine infrastructure
Secunet Security Networks AG has received approval for its data center version of the secunet konnektor, enabling hospitals and large pharmacies to connect to the telemedicine infrastructure (TI).

Secunet Security Networks AG has obtained approval from Germany's gematik agency for a data center variant of its secunet konnektor. This device is designed to connect hospitals and large pharmacies to the national telemedicine infrastructure (Telematikinfrastruktur, TI).
Developed in collaboration with eHealthExperts, the data center version offers double the performance of the model previously rolled out for medical practices. It is delivered in a 19-inch rack-mountable chassis and is engineered to withstand the environmental conditions typical of data centers. The unit also features an enhanced management system for efficient operation and fault management across multiple connectors.
Secunet highlights that its TI connectors are the market's only independently developed solutions. The company focused on meeting customer needs for usability and user-friendliness alongside technical specifications.
The new connector features a modular and scalable architecture, supporting current applications like patient data management and is prepared for future upgrades to the 'eHealth Konnektor' via software updates and licenses. The product comes with a two-year warranty, and its rollout begins immediately.
