Secunet konnektor approved for data centres in telematics infrastructure
Secunet Security Networks AG has received approval from gematik for its data centre connector, designed to link with Germany's telematics infrastructure. The product is intended for hospitals and large pharmacies.

Secunet Security Networks AG has obtained approval from Germany's telematics infrastructure authority, gematik, for its secunet konnektor configured for data centres. This product variant is specifically designed to connect hospitals and large pharmacies to the national telematics infrastructure (TI).
The data centre version offers double the performance of the model intended for medical practices. It is housed in a 19-inch rack-mount unit (1U) and engineered to withstand data centre environmental conditions. The product also includes a management system for efficient operation and administration of multiple connectors.
Secunet states that both versions of the konnektor are the only self-initiated TI connectors on the market. Development focused on meeting technical specifications while also prioritizing customer needs for usability and functionality. The modular and scalable architecture is designed to accommodate future upgrades, such as the eHealth Connector.
The secunet konnektor for data centres comes with a two-year guarantee and is available immediately. The company noted that its previous version for medical practices has seen over 45,000 units purchased.
