Secunet launches Highspeed Connector for German healthcare TI 2.0
Secunet Security Networks AG has developed a Highspeed Connector to enable access to Germany's Telematics Infrastructure (TI) as a service, supporting the transition to TI 2.0. Approval is anticipated in summer 2023.

secunet Security Networks AG has developed a new Highspeed Connector, designed to provide access to Germany's Telematics Infrastructure (TI) as a service and paving the way for TI 2.0. The company anticipates the device will receive approval from gematik, the national agency for digital medicine, in summer 2023. This development is a significant step in the digitalization of the German healthcare sector.
Traditionally, TI access in Germany relies on physical connectors installed at healthcare providers like doctor's offices and hospitals. However, the planned second generation of the TI, known as TI 2.0, focuses on new access models that do not require local physical access points. secunet's Highspeed Connector provides the technical foundation for this shift.
The Highspeed Connector is engineered for central operation, meeting the demands of large networks and offering multi-client capability. It ensures maximum performance and operational reliability. Furthermore, it is scalable and fully updatable, positioning it as a future-proof solution for an evolving healthcare network infrastructure.
This new product expands secunet's portfolio of connectors, which previously included the Einbox connector and the datacenter connector. The company continues to play a key role in securing Germany's digital healthcare network and facilitating its advancement towards more integrated and efficient digital health services.
