The "Godfather" malware operates by capturing and transmitting user names, passwords, and SMS-delivered TAN codes to attackers. Secunet's protect4use solution thwarts this by generating its two-factor authentication elements within the Android operating system's secure keystore. These factors are not transferable and are confirmed only by an authenticated protect4use server, rendering the malware ineffective.
