Secunet receives major Bundeswehr contract for Ulm command center

Secunet Security Networks AG has been awarded a major contract by the German Bundeswehr for the supply of SINA workstations and SINA L3 boxes. The equipment is intended for the Multinational Joint Headquarters in Ulm.

The contract, valued in the tens of millions of euros, represents the largest single order secured by Secunet to date. The delivery of SINA H and SINA S components, which enable the processing of classified information up to SECRET / NATO SECRET levels, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2017.

The Multinational Joint Headquarters in Ulm is a key unit within the German armed forces, tasked with leading global crisis management operations under the auspices of the United Nations, NATO, or the EU. It is certified to command multinational forces of up to 60,000 soldiers.

The SINA (Secure Inter-Network Architecture) solution is a high-security system developed by Secunet in collaboration with the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). It has been successfully deployed for many years by military and government agencies both in Germany and abroad.
