secunet Security Networks AG has begun the 2025 financial year with a substantial increase in revenue and a return to profitability in the first quarter. Preliminary figures show Group revenue reaching approximately EUR 78.3 million, marking a 35.9% rise from the EUR 57.6 million recorded in the first quarter of 2024.
The company also reported a positive preliminary earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of around EUR 1.8 million for Q1 2025. This contrasts sharply with the negative EBIT of EUR -5.6 million experienced in the same period last year. The EBIT margin improved to 2.3%, up from -9.7% in Q1 2024, while the preliminary EBITDA margin rose to 8.4% from -2.6% year-on-year. The significant sales growth was attributed to orders placed in late 2024 that were fulfilled in the first quarter of 2025, primarily within the Public Sector segment.
Based on this strong start to the year, secunet has confirmed its financial forecast for the full 2025 fiscal year. The company expects Group revenue to reach approximately EUR 425 million. Projected EBIT margins are anticipated to be between 9.5% and 11.5%, with EBITDA margins expected between 14.5% and 16.5%.
Full financial results for the first quarter of 2025 are scheduled for publication on May 13, 2025. secunet will also host an online analyst conference concurrently.
