German IT security company secunet Security Networks AG announced significant changes to its management board on Tuesday. The supervisory board and current CEO Axel Deininger have agreed not to extend his contract beyond its regular expiry on December 31, 2025.

The company plans to appoint Marc-Julian Siewert to the management board effective July 1, 2025. Siewert is also designated to succeed Deininger as CEO. He brings extensive experience in business with public authorities from his tenure as CEO of Veridos, a provider of identity solutions and a joint venture between Giesecke+Devrient and the Bundesdruckerei group.

The supervisory board expressed gratitude to Axel Deininger for his cooperation, particularly during the transformation of secunet's business model in recent years. Company statements indicated Deininger played a key role in reshaping the company's strategy.

Starting July 1, 2025, the management board is expected to comprise Axel Deininger (CEO), Torsten Henn, Dr. Kai Martius, Jessica Nospers, and Marc-Julian Siewert. This transition is anticipated to support the company's future growth and strategic expansion within its operational sectors.
