Secunet to supply SINA technology to Bundeswehr for NATO rapid response force
Secunet Security Networks AG has received a significant order from the Bundeswehr for SINA components. The equipment is intended for use by NATO's Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF).
Essen, Germany – Secunet Security Networks AG has announced a major order from the Bundeswehr for its SINA security technology.
The contract involves the delivery of a substantial number of SINA Workstation H R devices and SINA L3 Box H network components. This technology is designated for the IT infrastructure of NATO's Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), often referred to as the "spearhead" of NATO response capabilities. The Bundeswehr plays a significant role within this multinational rapid response unit.
The SINA Workstation H R, based on a hardened notebook, is designed for mobile use under harsh operating conditions, capable of securely transmitting, processing, and storing classified data. The order also includes SINA L3 Box H components to ensure secure network communication.
The contract value is reported to be in the double-digit millions of euros, with deliveries scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021. SINA is a high-security solution developed by Secunet for the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and has been in successful use by government agencies and armed forces for many years.
