Secure Identity Alliance to Demonstrate OSIA Interoperability at TRUSTECH 2026
The Secure Identity Alliance will host live demonstrations of birth registration processes using the OSIA interoperability standard from December 1–3 in Paris.

The Secure Identity Alliance (SIA) has announced plans to hold a series of interoperability demonstrations at the upcoming TRUSTECH event in Paris, scheduled for December 1–3, 2026. The sessions will focus on the OSIA (Open Standards Identity API) framework, specifically applying the ITU-T X.1281 standard to national birth registration workflows.
Six identity technology providers are slated to participate in the demonstrations. Each day of the exhibition will feature a rotating roster of vendors tasked with executing an end-to-end birth registration process. The objective is to highlight the functionality of the OSIA standard in facilitating data exchange between different identity management systems.
By showcasing these multi-vendor integrations, the SIA aims to provide tangible evidence of how standardized APIs can reduce technical barriers in digital identity infrastructure. The demonstration serves as a practical assessment of the interoperability claims central to the OSIA initiative, which is designed to prevent vendor lock-in for government-led identity programs.
