Sega Fave halts online services following server breach
Sega Fave has suspended multiple online arcade services and account registration functions after unauthorized access to its servers.
Sega Fave reported an unauthorized access incident involving its servers, leading to the suspension of key digital services starting November 1. The company shut down its SEGA ID registration system and several online functions for its Japanese arcade network.
The breach primarily impacted the ALL.Net infrastructure and the Aime user authentication system. Consequently, online gameplay for arcade titles has been disabled, and internal web services, such as arcade location finders, remain offline.
The disruption extends to third-party titles operating on the ALL.Net network. Bandai Namco confirmed that eight of its games, including Taiko no Tatsujin and Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, are experiencing outages. In some cases, the disruption has hindered the operation of arcade cabinets even in offline environments.
