Senator Mark Warner to Address Election System Security in Webinar

U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.), Vice Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, is set to headline a national webinar hosted by Partners 4 Democracy (P4D) on Monday, July 27. The event will focus on safeguarding the American election system and bolstering public trust in democratic processes.

The free virtual event, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time, will feature Senator Warner in conversation with former NPR host Robert Siegel. They will discuss election security and challenges facing upcoming midterm and future elections. Following Warner's discussion, Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar and Paul Smith of the Campaign Legal Center will join Siegel to offer guidance on public engagement.

"President Trump's address was another desperate step in his endless attempt to interfere in our elections," stated Senator Warner. "I'm working around the clock to debunk the false claims of foreign interference, prevent any further attacks on our elections, and restore Americans' trust in our democratic process. We need every partner possible to join in that fight."

Partners 4 Democracy spokesperson Ed Cohen noted the organization's aim is to provide the public direct access to a key voice on election security and to highlight avenues for public action against perceived threats to democracy.

Partners 4 Democracy, established six years ago, is a non-profit organization focused on raising awareness about threats to democracy. The organization hosts events and supports candidates aligned with its mission without collecting funds.
