Senckenberg's natural history museums, located in Frankfurt, Dresden, and Görlitz, have announced new exhibitions opening in late 2025. The Frankfurt museum will feature "Ganz schön warm hier! - Life and Death in Messel" from December 5, 2025, exploring life 47 million years ago.
The Görlitz museum will open an exhibition on Germany's natural resources starting October 3, 2025. In Dresden, the "iNuversumm – Space and Time for Insects" exhibition, focusing on the world of insects, will debut on November 1, 2025.
Alongside public programming, the Senckenberg Centre continues its research into Earth's biodiversity and its dynamics. The institution conducts fieldwork, laboratory research, and studies of past environments, focusing on biodiversity, systematics, evolution, human impact, and Earth system dynamics.
