Senckenberg Research Society expands technical staff in Görlitz

The Senckenberg Gesellschaft für Naturforschung (SGN) has announced a vacancy for a facilities management specialist at its museum and research location in Görlitz. The position is a two-year, fixed-term contract beginning in January 2027, with remuneration aligned to the TV-L E 8 public sector collective agreement.

The role involves the maintenance and operation of complex building infrastructure, including climate control, laboratory facilities, and security systems. As the organization transitions to its new campus structure, the successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting exhibition setups and optimizing building automation processes.

Senckenberg is an affiliate of the Leibniz Association, focusing on Earth system research and biodiversity. The facility in Görlitz houses extensive scientific collections and public museum programs, requiring consistent technical oversight to meet safety and operational standards.
