Senckenberg seeks exhibition planner for Görlitz museum project

The Senckenberg Centre for Human Evolution and Palaeoenvironment, specifically its Museum of Natural History in Görlitz, is seeking an exhibition planner and educator for the "Oberlausitzer Zukunftswald" (Lusatian Future Forest) project. This part-time position begins on September 15, 2026, and is contracted until May 31, 2027.

The "Oberlausitzer Zukunftswald" initiative, led by the Görlitz museum, addresses ecological forest conversion, environmental education, and citizen science related to regional forest areas. A key outcome will be a special exhibition at the museum from May to November 2027, designed to be interactive and raise visitor awareness about forest ecosystems, climate change impacts, and land management.

The recruited employee will work closely with the project and museum teams, supporting the exhibition's conception and overseeing its implementation. Responsibilities include content development, selection of objects, creation of interactive modules, and assisting with public relations and marketing efforts. Close collaboration with project partners and service providers is expected.
