Senckenberg seeks exhibition planner for Görlitz project

The Senckenberg Museum of Natural History in Görlitz is seeking an employee for exhibition planning, education, and outreach. This position is integral to the "Oberlausitzer Zukunftswald" project, which focuses on ecological forest transformation and biodiversity research in the region.

The role will involve contributing to the design and implementation of an interactive special exhibition showcasing the project's findings. The exhibition aims to raise public awareness about forest ecosystems and the impacts of climate change. The position is part-time (75%) and temporary, extending until May 2027.

Senckenberg is a leading global research institution for biodiversity and earth system research. The Görlitz museum is known for its scientific research and extensive collections. The "Oberlausitzer Zukunftswald" initiative is a collaborative effort running from June 2024 to May 2027 with regional partners.

The responsibilities include developing the exhibition concept, coordinating the implementation process, and liaising with project teams and external service providers. The ideal candidate will possess experience in exhibition development, educational program creation, and strong organizational and communication skills.
