Senior Star, a senior living organization, is celebrating its 50th anniversary and has been recognized as a FORTUNE Best Workplace in Aging Services. The family-owned company received this acknowledgment based on feedback from its employees.
The company marked the 50-year milestone on October 13, 2026, with an event honoring its nearly 900 associates. The celebration highlighted the people who have shaped the organization and introduced "Moment Makers," the next phase of Senior Star's "Difference Makers" tradition.
"This FORTUNE recognition is meaningful because it reflects the culture our associates create every day," said CEO Anja Rogers. "As we look to our next 50 years, "Moment Makers" gives us a way to name and celebrate that service, one meaningful moment at a time."
Founded in 1976, Senior Star operates six communities across four states. The organization provides independent living, assisted living, and memory care services, aiming to create environments where residents can live with purpose, connection, and joy. Throughout its anniversary year, the company is collecting and celebrating stories from its associates, residents, and their families.
