Finnish defense technology firm Senop has been awarded a significant contract by the French Armament General Directorate (DGA – Direction générale de l’armement) for the procurement of its advanced AFCD TI sighting system.
The acquisition follows a multi-year development and evaluation process where Senop collaborated closely with the DGA and Saab Ground Combat Unit. The company conducted testing, customization, and validation to ensure the system met all technical requirements.
Contract realization will begin in 2026, with Senop committed to providing training, maintenance, and lifecycle services to the French Armed Forces. The AFCD TI system is a digital, next-generation fire control solution that doubles the effective engagement range in all conditions compared to traditional sights. It integrates thermal, day, and fusion channels with a laser rangefinder and ballistic calculation.
