Sepe Logistica and Unilever tested Scania electric truck near Milan

Logistics firm Sepe Logistica conducted a test drive of a Scania electric truck in February 2022, utilizing it for various urban missions in the Milan area. The test aimed to discover the vehicle's potential for silent, clean, and efficient transportation.

Sepe Logistica, known for its pioneering approach to sustainable solutions, including being one of the first Italian transport companies to adopt CNG-powered vehicles in 2014, reaffirms its commitment to reducing emissions by testing the electric truck.

The test, conducted in collaboration with Unilever, focused on urban operational contexts where silence, zero local emissions, and optimized missions are necessary requirements. This aligns with both companies' long-term objectives for sustainable logistics.

Paolo Sepe, CEO of Sepe Logistica Group, expressed enthusiasm for electrification and highlighted the long-standing partnership with Scania. He envisions future logistics becoming simpler through digitalization and a more environmentally friendly fleet.

Ugo Zamparelli, Logistic Network Manager at Unilever, confirmed the company's goal to optimize its logistics network for efficiency, cost, and reduced CO2 emissions. Unilever has supported Sepe Logistica's transition to electric transport for several years.
