Sequoia-backed Juicebox opens London office to compete with Jack & Jill

AI recruiting startup Juicebox, backed by Sequoia and Lux Capital, has opened its first European office in London. The move marks the company's expansion outside of San Francisco and its intention to compete with established players like Jack & Jill.

The founders have expressed a strong desire for growth and highlighted the strategic importance of the European market. Juicebox has previously raised significant funding, including a $15 million Series A round, valuing the company at $277 million. Investors include Sequoia, Lux Capital, and CRV.

Juicebox enters a competitive landscape that includes Jack & Jill, which recently raised £40 million in the UK, as well as Zuula and Nuro. The company's focus is on using AI to streamline and improve recruitment processes for both businesses and candidates.

Founders emphasize the development of better tools for recruiters and job seekers, believing AI is crucial for accelerating and enhancing hiring. The London office opening is part of Juicebox's global expansion strategy.
