Seres Aito Brand Joins BMW, Mercedes-Benz Charging Network
Chinese automaker Seres announced that its Aito brand's charging rights are now integrated into a joint venture network established by BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
Seres Group Vice President Kang Bo announced on September 30 that the charging rights for the Aito brand have been integrated into a joint venture charging network co-established by BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
The network, named Yì Ān Qǐ, includes over 600 charging stations located in major commercial districts across China. Aito vehicle owners can access these stations through the Aito charging application and receive benefits such as discounted service fees.
The joint venture was initially formed by Mercedes-Benz and BMW in 2024 to operate a supercharging network in China. Seres joined the venture as an investor in April 2024, holding an equal stake alongside the existing shareholders.
This collaboration expands charging access for Seres' Aito electric vehicle owners while reinforcing the charging infrastructure efforts of the BMW and Mercedes-Benz partnership.
