Seres to lead Aito sales channels, Huawei focuses on support
Seres will now lead product definition, design, marketing, and retail for Aito ('问界') models, with Huawei providing enabling support.

Chinese automaker Seres is taking over expanded responsibilities for the Aito ('问界') electric vehicle brand, including product definition, design, marketing, sales channels, and service. Huawei, previously a key player, will shift to an enabling and supporting role. The changes are effective immediately.
Under the new structure, Seres will independently manage Aito's sales channels. Some former Harmony Intelligence (鸿蒙智行) retail locations will be transferred to Seres. These outlets will exclusively display and sell Aito-branded vehicles, adopting an "exclusive specialization" approach aimed at strengthening the Aito brand's premium positioning.
It was confirmed that existing and future Aito customer rights and services will remain unaffected by this transition. Huawei's involvement will be focused on empowerment and support rather than direct operational management.
In August 2026, Seres reported a year-on-year sales decrease of 43.96%, with Seres-branded vehicles declining 49.68%. Despite this, Harmony Intelligence has cumulatively delivered over 1.52 million vehicles, with August 2026 seeing 42,101 deliveries, an increase of 10.8% compared to the previous year.
