SES and HD PLUS to deepen cooperation amid leadership change
Christoph Mühleib, Managing Director of SES Germany, will become the new Managing Director of HD PLUS GmbH from October 1, 2025. He will oversee both SES's German operations and the HD+ platform, marking an intensified collaboration.

SES, operator of the ASTRA satellites, and HD PLUS GmbH, operator of the HD+ SAT and IPTV platform, are set to deepen their cooperation following a management transition at HD PLUS GmbH. Christoph Mühleib, Managing Director of SES Germany, will succeed Andreas Müller-Vondey as Managing Director of HD PLUS GmbH, effective October 1, 2025. Mühleib will also assume responsibility for both of SES's business areas in the DACH region. Müller-Vondey will depart HD PLUS GmbH on September 30, 2025, after a 15-year tenure. "We are very grateful for Andreas's enormous personal commitment over the past 15 years and wish him all the best for the future," said Deepak Mathur, President Media Vertical of SES. "We are convinced that an even closer integration of SES in Germany and HD PLUS will bring valuable opportunities for all parties – TV channels, content providers, and consumers alike," Mathur added. Over 16 million TV households in Germany receive their programming via ASTRA satellite, free of connection costs or monthly subscription fees. HD+ provides consumers in Germany with access to high-definition television and numerous convenience services via satellite and IP. Together, the companies reach a broad audience through the HD+-branded operator app, available on TV sets from leading manufacturers. This app enables content reception not only in satellite TV households but also extends coverage to IPTV users. HD PLUS GmbH, founded in 2009, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of satellite operator SES, a relationship this change further solidifies.
