Setra reports reduced third-quarter loss for 2026
Timber company Setra narrowed its operating loss to SEK -12 million in the third quarter of 2026, reflecting a significant year-on-year improvement.

Wood industry firm Setra posted an operating result of SEK -12 million for the third quarter of 2026, compared to a loss of SEK -148 million during the same period in 2025. Net sales rose to SEK 1,286 million, up from SEK 1,215 million a year earlier.
The company noted that while the third quarter result showed a marked improvement over the previous year, performance was temporarily constrained by scheduled maintenance shutdowns in July. Operations recovered in the following months, contributing to a more positive trend for the remainder of the quarter.
Management attributes the improved financial position to lower timber costs and internal efficiency gains. As the company moves into the final quarter of the year, its financial outlook remains sensitive to ongoing price fluctuations in the timber market.
