Optics manufacturer Seven kääpiöt (Qicangjiang) has announced the availability of its LITE series AF 25mm, 35mm, and 50mm F1.8 lenses in a silver finish for Fujifilm X-mount cameras. The three prime lenses are now on sale with an introductory price of 599 yuan (approximately $83 USD) apiece.
The new lenses weigh around 180 grams and feature a full metal body construction with a 58mm filter thread. Optical formulas include 5 groups and 8 elements for the 25mm, 6 groups and 7 elements for the 35mm, and 5 groups and 6 elements for the 50mm. All lenses are equipped with an STM stepping motor for autofocus, support eye-detection capabilities, and include a Type-C port for firmware updates.
This release expands Seven kääpiöt's offerings for Fujifilm X-series camera users, providing affordable prime lens options. The F1.8 maximum aperture is suitable for low-light photography and achieving shallow depth of field effects, while the autofocus system with eye-detection is beneficial for portraiture and capturing moving subjects.
The lenses are initially launching in the Chinese market. The silver color option is intended to complement certain Fujifilm camera bodies. The inclusion of a USB-C port for firmware updates suggests the company's commitment to potential future enhancements or performance improvements for the lenses.
