Seven. One Entertainment Group GmbH has released its Media Activity Guide 2025, forecasting a continued high level of media consumption in Germany for the upcoming year. The report suggests that individuals will spend an average of nearly 11 hours per day engaging with media.

The usage of mass media, including television and radio, is projected to remain stable. Concurrently, the use of individual communication channels like email and video calls is expected to see a slight increase, recovering from a low point in 2024. Television is identified as the most relevant mass medium, accounting for approximately one-third of all media time.

Smartphones continue to be the most prevalent device, utilized by 95 percent of individuals. Television device usage remains strong at 90 percent, with a continued rise in the adoption of smart TVs. The report also indicates that, on average, households possess more than one TV unit, with an increasing number of these being internet-connected.

Tablets, smart speakers, and wearables are becoming more common, while the use of DVD and Blu-ray players continues to decline. The findings are based on research conducted by forsa, surveying approximately 2,450 individuals aged 14 to 69 annually.
